1. Standard Student Contract

The prospective student will enter into the Standard Student Contract with LBS.

  2. Student Protection Scheme

LBS hereby confirms and assures the Student that it has in place a Student Protection Scheme as stipulated by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) (the "SPS") by way of a Student Tuition Fee Account (Escrow) pursuant to the terms and conditions of the CASE-LBS Agreement.

  3. Refund Policies

Students who have enrolled for a course of study or training are allowed to withdraw from it by giving LBS at least thirty (30) working days written notice before the first day of the commencement of the course. LBS shall, as soon as practicable after receiving the Student's written notice of withdrawal (fourteen (14) working days after receiving such notice) refund to the Student the following sums (less any applicable and administrative charges properly paid/ payable under Student Protection Scheme) :

70% More than 30 days before the Commencement Date
40% Before, but not more than 14 days before the Commencement Date
20% After but not more than 3 days after the Commencement Date
0% More than 3 days after the Commencement Date

  4. Confidentiality of Student Data

LBS is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the Student's personal information and undertakes not to divulge any of the Student's personal information to any third party without the prior written consent of the Student except for the use of registering the student with the relevant authorities and academic qualification body.

In the time when the staff may require access to personal information about students, the school will restrict access to those staff that may need the information in order to carry out their responsibilities in the personal and/or academic interests of the students.

As a general rule, the School will not disclose personal information about students to other student, to people outside the School (other than in accordance with any legal or academic obligation) or to staff members who have no need to access the information without the consent of the Principal. There are some exceptions imposed on the School by law. These include but not necessarily limited to the following:

  1. If a person outside the school (e.g. spouse, parents, sibling) needs to contact a student for an emergency purpose, the matter will be referred to the Principal for a decision;
  2. In the case of student who are under the age of 18 years old, information concerning the student's attendance, educational progress and so on may be provided, upon request, to the student's parent/ guardian (subject to the terms of court order, if any);
  3. If a student is alleged to have committed a criminal offense, the School may be requested to assist the police with personal information about the student for the enforcement of the criminal law;
  4. If a student transfers to another institution, the School may release to that particular institution about the student's academic progress during his/ her studied in this School
